| Looking up the valley of the Claise River at La Forge, between Chaumussay and Preuilly-sur-Claise. The habitat is a mosaic of long established human habitation, dry limestone slopes, unimproved pasture and hay meadow, arable crops, hedges, woodland (broadleaf and conifer), either side of the small river and its riparian corridor of vegetation. |
Come and Smell the Roses in the Loire Valley
-
If you are a rose fancier then the best time for you to visit the Loire
Valley is May and June. The roses here are world class and we would be
delighted ...

ReplyDeletewhy not add a photograph or two to this post of the Aigronne valley near RĂ©...
or between PP and Charnizay...
the mosaics along those are a bit clearer and easier to photograph than this shot.
There is also a nice "contrast" shot to be taken up the road opposite Gatault...
where you can look down into the valley...
with small varied fields in the foreground...
and Eric's vast monoculture plain on the opposite side.
Tim: Good suggestions, and more photos will come -- eventually...
