Habitat: Calcareous grassland, woodland clearings and roadside banks where both parents are present, in full sun or partial shade.
Flowering Period: April-May-June.
Status: Quite common in the Touraine and can be seen within 5 km of Preuilly-sur-Claise. By far the most common of the Orchis spp hybrids.

- a very variable mixture of the parent species.
- usually has a dark 'cap'.
- 'body' shape midway between the parent species.
- occurs where both parents occur in close proximity and flower simultaneously.
- at first glance usually looks like a Lady Orchid.
